The Home They Imagined
A New Home Designed for a Growing Family.
A young family was building a new waterfront home. They wanted a contemporary interior with strong contrast and clean lines, while still feeling warm, comfortable, and easy to live in.
We balanced light and dark materials, natural stone and wood, architectural lighting, and custom built-ins, developing every element as one coordinated composition. The result is a distinctive home that feels comfortable, natural, and effortless for the family to live in.

Spiritual Arrival
The entry was designed to feel memorable from the first step inside. A glowing wine display, sculptural artwork, warm wood, and clear views into the living spaces create a dramatic arrival without closing off the home.
A Structural Constraint Becomes Part of the Architecture
An existing structural column interrupted the open living area. We concealed it within a new architectural core—turning the living-room side into a fireplace and the arrival-and-lounge side into an illuminated wine enclosure. The structure remains exactly where it must be, but now reads as one intentional feature from both sides.

A Clear, Uninterrupted Media Wall
Hidden doors to the theater and office blend into the slatted panels on both sides, making the entertainment center look like one large wall.

A Theater Made for More Than Movie Night
Behind one hidden door, the theater combines a large screen, lounge seating, a bar, and a small kitchenette—giving the family one place for movies, video games, and everyday time together.

A Kitchen Made for Everyday Living
A hidden door in the left wall opens to a large walk-in pantry. The cabinetry is balanced around a wide window, bringing in natural light and giving the kitchen a bright, joyful feel.

A Small Room with Its Own Character
Bold stone, simple lighting, and balanced details make this powder room feel special without feeling busy.

A Quieter Place to Gather
Warm millwork, soft seating and natural light define a secondary retreat for conversation, television and informal entertaining.

A Calm, Hotel-Like Suite
Symmetry, soft textures, and layered lighting create a calm bedroom, while the opposite wall completes the room with a clean, integrated media center.
